The common bean, also called French bean or Italian bean and sometimes called gourmet bean, is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Europe and Africa that is used in soups, stews and other dishes as well as in cooking. The most common varieties of bean, based on harvest season, are snap beans, dry beans and seed bean. The pods are a delicious addition to food and beverages and also serve as an insect repellant.

The plants thrive in a rich soil that has good drainage. If it rains too much or if there is too much shade, the bean plant will die back. A good rule of thumb is that a four inch deep bed should be sufficient. If not, you can always add some compost to the soil so that it doesn’t get compacted too much. Also, plant the plants as far apart as possible, about one foot apart in most cases.

For proper watering of the beans, it’s best that you let them water once every two to three weeks. They prefer to have an inch of water at least. This is more than sufficient. When the soil becomes soggy, you can water the plant again.

In order to avoid root rot on the bean plant, it’s important to remove the soil every week, especially if it gets too wet. Keep the soil moist enough, but don’t overdo it, or the roots will be destroyed.

During the summer, your bean plant can suffer from problems with mildew or mildew being an excess of fungus in the leaves and stems. The fungi feed on the chlorophyll that has been eaten by the plant. To prevent this, apply organic fertilizer as often as possible to keep the soil moisture level high and pH as close to 7.

In order to prevent pests, you can make your own pest repellent by covering the plant with a newspaper, or a mixture of baking soda and water. This will keep the plant looking good. Some plants can be grown outside, like aloe vera, which is a favorite for green bean plants. Others will need to be grown indoors for pests to be kept away.

One word of caution: if you want to grow a large number of green bean plants, you’ll need to take care to provide a healthy supply of the plant’s food. A bean plant takes a lot of water, especially in the early season. If the water table is too low, the leaves of the plant may drop off, allowing the roots to rot.

In order to prevent diseases to your green bean plant, there are a couple of different treatments you can try. The easiest is to use a commercial pesticide which is available in spray form. However, this can be very costly and may have side effects such as leaf discoloration or death of the leaves.

In order to keep your plants healthy from other plant diseases, you can also try a natural method. You can plant mint, tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint leaf together, and then use the leaves as a soil fungicide. {or you can put a mixture of lime juice and crushed tea leaves into a spray bottle and spray into the ground. The leaves should stay fresh all summer long.

Another healthy plant that you can grow is a sunflower or a hybrid, like the Sunflower that has been cross bred with another variety. This type of plant has many uses and is great for growing.

You’ll have the added benefit of having healthy green bean plants, as well as flowers and leaves. There are so many options. It’s really up to you to decide what you want to grow.
